Click Clack


There's something about this that's really nice. It's so clean. And hypnotic. Tell me, which ad works more on you? Which car would you prefer to buy?

It's brave of them to make it so long, with just a short product shot at the end... and that's what's nice. It's calm.

the idea for this ad definitely comes from the works of the artist duo fischli and weiss from switzerland. check out the videos on youtube and and find out which part was blatantly copied! I still love the ad.

True, this does look similar to Fischli and Weiss. But this basic idea has been around forever. I remember making things like this when I was kid. I had a doorbell system linked to my room from a trip wire halfway down the hall, activated by pulleys, so I'd get warning if a parent was approaching...

I like the hate one the most, it was so cute and it changed your opinion on how they do diesel, changing the connotation everyone has of it. Also to have nature fighting the bad diesels is an excellent way to inform anyone who does not already know the thinking that goes along with them (bad for the environment), and also that their product does not distrupt nature. It is very smart.

p.s. this idea has been around for decades. check out the old Tex Avery cartoons ('late 40s, early 50s); they made some ingenious shite.
